Setting Goals

Monday, May 3rd, 2010
When you were younger you may have had many noble goals in place, which you were sure you would accomplish. Maybe you had planned on first completing college, then falling in love and starting a family while also juggling a magnificent career. But not everyone’s lives work out the way they anticipate, and even though the little surprises and detours in life are what make things exciting, there are times when everything seems to go haywire in all the wrong ways. Maybe your life seems boring. Maybe you don’t even recognize your current life as anything you had planned on or wanted. If your life has become something that you really don’t want it to be, remember that you can always change the direction of your life. All it takes is some goal setting and perseverance which can be the key to success.
One of the chief complaints from people, who feel as though their life needs improving, is that they feel as though they are simply going along, not accomplishing much, and not really making any sort of difference in the world. You undoubtedly had goals at some point in your life…what sort of goals do you have now? If your main goal is to get through the day without screaming at your children or to sit through another boring business meeting without falling asleep, then it may be time to set some more ambitious goals for yourself. After all, if you don’t set any goals for yourself, then how will you work towards the things you want to accomplish in life?
People who dream of doing things that not many people get to do for a living – acting, writing, opening their own business, running a large company – often gives up on their dreams before ever really making an attempt at reaching their goals. Look at it this way; someone has to do these jobs, so why not you? Unless you make a truly determined effort to become what you have always wanted to become, you will never know what could have been. Not all people doing the sort of work you want to do know that they would eventually be paid for their passions, but most of them put a lot of hard work into getting where they are. Just because someone else may criticize your dreams as impractical, does not mean that your dreams are impossible.  Give it a try, see what you might accomplish, and even if you aren’t able to attain some of your goals, you will always know that you gave it a shot.

Self Improvement

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

In today’s world Self Improvement has become a vital part of how we develop our careers and lives in order to fully enjoy the multitude of activities that are, in reality within the grasp of everyone, but unfortunately not everyone will take advantage of these opportunities.   Continuous Self Improvement will help to open many avenues of dreams that can lead to a productive and fulfilling life, and working towards becoming rich is one way of realizing those dreams.

Now many people will say that only greedy people want to be rich, but that is not necessarily the case, and it should never be a deterrent for anyone to pursue a lifestyle an career path that will inevitable make them rich.   With abundant money you can travel, have a nice house, a nice car and all of the other material things that you desire, but you can also use some of that money to help others in the world that are less fortunate than yourself.  There are many millions of people living in third world countries, and are never given the knowledge or opportunity to become involved in Self Improvement, which is something that is very sad.

Self Improvement really starts with education.  Basic education generally provides a better understanding of what needs to be done to embark on each individual’s journey of Self Improvement.   As one progresses there are number of broader learning techniques that can be applied to Self Improvement.  An individual’s mindset is a key element of extended learning and provides the basis of any ongoing success.    Always thinking positively and never letting anything stand in the way of your Self Improvement journey is the catalyst that will ensure you can achieve virtually anything you set your mind to.

The Self Improvement journey is something that will never end, and an ongoing commitment of Self Improvement will surely lead to you to one day being in a position to give back to those in the world community that are not as fortunate as many others.  The desire and ability to help less fortunate people in the world I believe, is the ultimate reward that can be gained from engaging in continued Self Improvement throughout one’s life.

A great way to start your Self Improvement is to learning how to live without debt.  You can find many answers in the e-book entitled simply living debt free.

Uncovering today’s world of materialism

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

Consumerism today is all about ‘he who has the most possessions wins’!  Unfortunately there is a widespread mindset that more ‘things’ will make you happier, make people like you better, and lead to a better and more fulfilled life. Think about the things that turn heads and have people talking. Consider the things that create the impression of money and wealth. Outward appearances can be deceiving, but we soon forget that important fact.

Materialism has reached an all time high with most people in the developed world. That is evident through their willingness to sacrifice financial independence and financial security for designer clothes, elaborate home furnishings, expensive jewelry, pleasure boats, seaside vacation homes, and a multitude of other items. Just whip out the plastic cards and it’s instant gratification!

People have been too busy figuring out what to buy next and looking at what others have accumulated. Envy, greed, and obsession have created a world where credit cards and materialism are the norm.  There is an outrageous desire to spend money just to outwardly demonstrate that one is wealthy – or at least, perceived to be wealthy.  If people
would really stop and look, they may discover that these are not really their goals. They are goals that have been influenced and determined by someone else.

The worst thing of all, is that they don’t know how to change. They’re scared to think about change and they don’t know where to start. They’ve dug a deep hole and rather than struggling to climb out of the hole, it’s just easier to keep digging.

The ebook ‘Simply Living Debt Free‘ covers and explains a number of strategies to change the downward debt spiral.  It is your guide to evaluating your life as it is right now and identifying the changes you need to make in the most important areas. Whether you’re struggling financially, emotionally, physically, or spiritually, this must have manual provides a wealth of specific strategies you can use now to re-route your life’s road map and live the life you always dreamed of living!

Wishing You Every Success,

Self Defense For Women

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Unfortunately, Self defense for women has become important as well as necessary in today’s world and that is something that was not considered to be necessary in years gone by.   The ever increasing reports of violence against women and younger children, is disturbing, and one wonders why this is so.  One likely consideration is – that there seems to have been a real deterioration of respect for fellow human beings, in today’s society.   In many cases women are targeted because, generally speaking their physical stature is not developed in the same way as most men, and that can quite often be seen as an opportunity, by the cowardly proponents of violence.

Properly organized training in self defense for women can be a step in the right direction to limit violent attacks, and even prevent serious injury.  One important point for women to consider is to develop a strong level of awareness of how other people around them are acting, particularly if they are walking, jogging, or even riding a bicycle in areas outside of their own property.  Most of these undesirables that prey on women and even young children use the “element of surprise” to gain an advantage in order to commit their act of violence.   Obviously, there are additional techniques that can be taught from martial arts courses or books and audio instructions that will assist in improving self defense for women.   It is vital for women in today’s society to be able to move around freely in any areas outside their own property with the confidence of knowing how to adequately defend themselves, or even effectively avoid an imminent attack from someone who has the intentions of inflicting some form of violent act upon them.

There is a simple and cost effective way of learning these skills from the comfort of your home and that can be obtained through a very well written publication entitled Self Defense – a practical guide to self defense for women.    It is available for instant download at the link and there is also a convenient audio CD that is supplied with the e-Book as well.

The Magic & Many Uses of Honey

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

 http://blog.instanteproducts.com/wp-content/uploads/honey-large.jpg

Honey is one of the most interesting and beneficial products available to mankind.  Honey is one of the oldest folk remedies that can be traced back as far as ancient civilisations.  Numerous healing properties have been found for Honey including the treatment of skin aliments as well as internal infections.  Honey has also been recommended for it ability to enhance general health and energy levels.  There have been reported cases where the use of certain types of Honey has been credited with the successful treatment of aliments such as Duodenal and Stomach Ulcers.  Honey derives much of its digestive benefits from the fact that it is a natural product that has already been digested by the Honey bees before it is harvested from the Honeycomb.

A substantial amount of research about the benefits of Honey has been done by Dr Peter Molan, MBE, who is the Associate Professor in Biochemistry at The University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, who has been researching the ancient healing properties of honey since 1981. Honey can also be used together with other products such as lemons, and also vinegar to provide relief for colds, diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach upsets, as well as weight loss and numerous other applications.  In 1996 a New Zealand research Company studied the benefits and concentrations of Manuka Honey needed to inhibit the growth of fungi responsible for tinea and found benefits in its application.

Many clinical studies and reports on the uses of Honey for aliments such as burns, surgical wounds and various types of ulcers, including use of Honey as a source of carbohydrate for oral hydration therapy, have shown positive and beneficial results.  One beneficial property of Honey is known as its low “water activity” which acts as a restriction to the growth of most bacteria, moulds and yeasts.  Therefore when Honey is applied externally to wounds for instance; an osmosis reaction occurs which draws moisture from the wound into the Honey which in turn helps to dry the infected area and reduces the incidence of bacterial growth.   Honey also has a low pH value (between 32. and 4.5) making is slightly acidic which also contributes to inhibiting many pathogenic bacteria.
